MICAH HYDE was expected to complete the signing of a three-year extension to his existing contract, taking him through to 2004 this week.
The Jamaican international midfielder, whose existing contract expires next summer, would have been on a Bosman free, but the 26-year-old midfielder has been in negotiations with Tim Shaw over recent weeks.
Speaking on Thursday, October 18, the chief executive said : "We talked again on Wednesday and I left in the belief that he will sign the new contract today.
"Obviously we are very pleased because he has been playing well."
